To configure FastMail with Attachment Bot, use an app-specific password for secure connectivity.

Generate an App-Specific Password

FastMail recommends using an app-specific password for third-party apps:

1. Go to the FastMail 'Settings' page.
2. Click on 'Passwords & Security'.
3. Scroll to 'Third-party apps' and click 'Manage'.
4. Click 'New App Password', select the device type, and specify 'Attachment Bot' as the app name.
5. Click 'Generate' to create the app-specific password. Record it carefully as it will not be shown again.

Adding Your FastMail Account to Attachment Bot

After setting up IMAP and generating your app-specific password, you can add your FastMail account:

1. Open Attachment Bot and navigate to the accounts tab in the sidebar.
2. Tap 'Add Account'.
3. Enter your full FastMail email address.
4. Use the app-specific password you generated.
5. For the IMAP server, enter 'imap.fastmail.com' and port 993.
6. Save your account information to start accessing your emails in Attachment Bot.
